With an optimal free acid value of 5.34% and complimentary pH of 3.8, NMF will restore radiance to all skin types without causing irritation. Enriched with Indian gooseberry extract and black tea, NMF delivers outstanding skin hydrating and brightening benefits. The free acid value is the percentage of the acid which is actually absorbed into the skin, and it is agreed that a minimum of 4% (free acid value) is required for noticeable cell turnover. Low pH formulations preserve the strength of lactic acid for optimal efficacy on the skin.

FAQ
CAN I USE NMF WHILE PREGNANT/BREASTFEEDING?
Yes. It is safe to use NMF while pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are pregnant and have any concerns please consult your Doctor. A full list of ingredients can be found on our website and on the product packaging.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LACTIC & GLYCOLIC ACID?
Both glycolic acid and lactic acid are alpha hydroxy acids. Glycolic acid has a smaller molecular size and therefore penetrates the deeper layers of the skin. Both acids break down the glue that holds dead skin cells together. Lactic acid has the added function of rebuilding the skin’s natural moisture levels and so it’s more hydrating. Lactic acid is more suitable for sensitive skin because it functions at the upper dermal layers.
WHAT IS THE ACTUAL PERCENTAGE OF LACTIC ACID IN THE SOLUTION?
The percentage of lactic acid which is free to work directly on the skin is 5.34%.
I HAVE DRY / DEHYDRATED SKIN. WILL AN ACID TONER DRY OUT MY SKIN?
New generation toners are not harsh and will not strip the skin. They are as hydrating as they are exfoliating. If you have very dry skin, we would recommend that you try NMF, a lactic acid toner that is ultra-hydrating and a sensitive skin hero. Lactic acid is even more hydrating than glycolic acid but delivers gentle exfoliation at the same time.
